Simonetta Stefanelli will always be remembered as Michael Corleone’s doomed first wife in The Godfather (1972) and not just because . Her unforgettable acting has also made Simonetta a legend of Italian cinema. Her sinister sexiness in Lucrezia giovane (1974)–a retelling of the saga of Lucrezia Borgi.
In 1957, Isela Vega was chosen “Princess of the Carnaval” in Hermosillo; shortly afterward she began modeling. In 1960 she began her acting career, which continues to this day. Her most widely known role is that of Elita in Sam Peckinpah’s Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia. She also wrote the song, Bennie’s Song, which appears in the film. She was subsequently photographed nude for the July 1974 issue of Playboy magazine.
Jane Birkin emerged in the swinging ’60s in London, starring as one of the models in the controversial 1966 film Blowup. In 1968, Birkin went to France to audition for the lead female role in Slogan. Though she did not speak French, she got the role. In “Slogan” she would play alongside Serge Gainsbourg, who became her collaborator. She sang the theme song for “Slogan” with Gainsbourg which became their first of many musical collaborations. In 1969, she and Serge Gainsbourg released the song “Je t’aime… moi non plus” (“I love you… me neither”), written by Gainsbourg and featuring both of them singing, which caused a scandal for its sexual explicitness. Arguably due in part to the publicity it got from being banned by radio stations in Italy, Spain, and the UK, it was a commercial success all over Europe. The song’s fame is a result of its salacious lyrics (sung in French) against a background of female moaning and groaning, culminating in an orgasm at the song’s conclusion. Jane Birkin took a break from acting in 1971-72, but returned as Brigitte Bardot‘s lover in Don Juan (or if Don Juan were a woman) in 1973.
In 1975, she appeared in Gainsbourg’s first film, also entitled Je t’aime… moi non plus, which created a stir for frank examination of sexual ambiguity. For this performance she was nominated for a Best Actress César Award. Jane Birkin has starred in the Agatha Christie films Death on the Nile and Evil Under the Sun, and recorded several albums, including Baby Alone in Babylone, Amours des Feintes, Lolita Go Home and Rendez-vous.

Victoria Sellers is the only child from the marriage of actor Peter Sellers and actress Britt Ekland, and that seems to be the only good bit. She had a film career of sorts, with bit parts such as ‘Desert Girl’ in Warlords (1988) She was a cocaine user ….. ‘Tatum O’Neal said in her autobiography that I introduced her to cocaine, but she’s out of her mind, I didn’t do that at all. We did cocaine, though. We used to put the vials on the kitchen shelf, below the doughnuts and above the noodles, and our thinking was, “Well, it’ll help us with our diets so we don’t have to throw up any more.”‘ In May 1994, she was charged with receiving stolen jewellery. Prosecutors contended she had rings and bracelets taken during an April robbery spree allegedly committed by a then-boyfriend and another man. After pleading guilty in the case, she was sentenced to 13 days in jail and placed on three years’ probation….. but in January 1995, she was arrested in West Hollywood, after she approached sheriff’s deputies who had stopped a car driven by an acquaintance. Sellers appeared to be under the influence of drugs and several grams of methamphetamines were found in her purse, so she was arrested, authorities said. It was her second drug arrest in two years. She was sentenced to 120 days in jail. Sellers was a ‘friend‘ of Heidi Fleiss (Hollywood Madam) from their teens and the pair later hosted and produced an instructional sex DVD titled “Sex Tips with Heidi Fleiss and Victoria Sellers” in 2001. In October 2006, it was reported that Ms Sellers was to be deported from the US, after her residency permit had been revoked due to her criminal convictions. She was held in a detention center for six weeks but got out of it.

During the run of Nancy Drew she appeared in a cover-featured pictorial in the July 1978 issue of Playboy magazine, which caused her to be axed from the series. Martin portrayed feisty and spoiled heiress Fallon Carrington Colby on the ABC nighttime soap opera Dynasty from its début in 1981 through the end of the fourth season in 1984. Martin left of her own accord and the character was “missing and presumed dead” — the series recast the role with actress Emma Samms at the end of the fifth season in 1985.
In August 1994 Shaya, a NYPD officer, appeared nude in Playboy. On October 28, the NYPD filed departmental charges against Shaya, for unauthorized off-duty employment and improper use of her uniform and the Police Department logo. On March 7, 1995, Commissioner William J. Bratton dismissed Shaya, saying her appearance in Playboy violated the City Charter and the department’s rules, so she was unfit to be a police officer.
In response, Shaya sued the department for US$10,000,000 for wrongful dismissal and gender discrimination. In her claim, she said that other, male, officers who appeared in pornographic films, not just softcore pictorials, were merely suspended, and not fired. Her lawsuit was criticized by Stanley Crouch in an American Enterprise Institute speech. The case, Shaya-Castro v. New York City Police Department, 649 N.Y.S.2d 711 (1996). , was decided against her, and upheld on appeal.
